ABOUT

Canine Culture Grooming Studio caters to dog lovers with a preference for highly stylized and breed-correct grooming for their purebred dog, as well as a distinct, well-fitted personality trim for a unique mixed breed.

My grooming focus rests on a solid foundation of skin and coat care, understanding of product ingredients, their effects on skin and coat, and well-balanced styling ranging from breed-correct pet trims to adaptations of show clips, highly animated "Asian Fusion" styles as well as customized clips per owner's request.

As a CERTIFIED master groomer and certified dog trainer, I emphasize the importance of forming trusted relationships through honest communication with my clients and their dogs. From a position of trust, a groomer is a valuable asset to a dog's health and hygiene, as we can detect subtle changes in your dog from one visit to the next . My clients visit the studio on average every 3-6 weeks to maintain their good looks and proper hygiene. This helps to establish long-term relationships with dogs and clients alike and makes for a positive grooming experience for the top dog in your life.  It is this philosophy that has given Canine Culture Grooming Studio the endorsement of local veterinarians, dog trainers, and show breeders and we take our responsibility seriously and strive for excellence in canine grooming and cosmetology

As a Nationally Certified Master Groomer by the National Dog Groomers Association and a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, I emphasize the importance of forming trusted relationships through honest communication with my clients and their dogs. From a position of trust, a groomer is a valuable asset to a dog's physical and mental health and hygiene, as we can detect subtle changes in your dog from one visit to the next . My clients visit the studio on average every 3-6 weeks to maintain their good looks and proper hygiene. This helps to establish long-term relationships with dogs and clients alike and makes for a positive grooming experience for the top dog in your life.  It is this philosophy that has given Canine Culture Grooming Studio the endorsement of local veterinarians, dog trainers, and show breeders and we take our responsibility to heart, always striving for excellence in canine cosmetology and advanced level grooming.

In an ever-evolving industry guided by the show world, continuing education is vital to staying current on proper, breed correct grooming, product and equipment use, as well as health and safety protocol. Canine Culture maintains industry excellence by attending several accredited continuing education seminars from our top industry leaders each year, as well as annual grooming competitions throughout the country where we strive to win or place and advance in each of the groups we compete in to help diversify our grooming skills and breed understanding. We want to always represent our industry in the best light.  Our goal as a grooming studio is to possess the knowledge and skills of our industry to earn the love and trust of you and your furry friend.

Grooming Studio

Canine Culture Grooming Studio has been thoughtfully designed to provide ultimate comfort and a peaceful retreat for your furry friend's spa day.  By appointment only, We mindfully schedule dogs to minimize the time they spend at the studio. Each dog is worked with as soon as they enter and ready to leave the moment they are finished with their grooming. We believe this system helps tremendously in keeping dogs calm and comfortable, in a quieter setting without banks of cages filled with anxious dogs waiting over hours to be picked up. Most of our dogs are ready within 2 hours of dropping off. Tails wagging, our dogs are happy to see you walking in as they are taken off the grooming table, ready to take on the rest of their day.

Our facility offers a room dedicated to bathing and drying dogs and a second room for styling. We also have a lobby for you to wait in if you arrive early.

Our bright, spacious and well-ventilated bathing room has two heated concrete bathing tubs to accommodate small and large dogs comfortably. We use a hydromassage recirculating bathing system and we hand dry dogs on our radiant heated concrete drying counters instead of inside cages. This gives us full control in preparing the coat for styling, specific to each breed.  Using drying counters helps dryer-nervous dogs feel more supported because the wall provides added security and a surface to lean against rather than balancing their footing on a table top. We have also noted faster drying times with this method which further helps to minimize the length of time our doggy clients stay at the studio.

Beautifully ornate and classy, adorned with large mirrors and soothing colors, the finishing room is where grooming magic happens. We want to work in tranquility so that tranquility is what we radiate in the presence of our furry patrons. Energy makes up a huge part of the air within a grooming space and we wish to keep ours soothing and pleasant with the use of calming scents and colors. Our large bay window offers ample natural light and provides an excellent gazing distraction to the pooches being styled. Bright, ventilated and climate controlled, our studio offers unmatched pampering for your furry friend.

Our lobby offers a modest retail selection of our most valued and trusted products from top rating show companies that represent our industry in the highest regard.  The bathing and styling products, detanglers, facial cleansers, tear stain removers, ear cleaners, dental products, odor eliminators, brushes and combs that we carry are the same products we already use on your dog so you can be certain they will work for you at home. We are always happy to schedule a time to teach you how to upkeep your furry friend's grooming routine between professional visits.

About Me

My passion lies in sculpting hair, in the company of good dogs.

I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer by the National Dog Groomers Association of America, an organization dedicated to maintaining a strict certification guideline to help uphold the highest standards in the pet grooming industry.  I have been involved with this industry since 1994 and continue to hone my skills by attending annual continuing education seminars and grooming competitions throughout the country.  I'm also a Certified Pet Dog Trainer by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. I am a winning competitor in the dog sport IPO, formerly knwn as Schutzhund which trains in the disciplines of tracking, obedience and protection, and I am a former member of DVG America.

I have dedicated my career and personal life to canine studies, based on the ideology that anything worth doing is worth doing well.  I've formed incredible friendships with veterinarians and trainers that I've been employed by and studied under. I had been fortunate to have had a truly professional introduction to the grooming industry during my first apprenticeship. I'm proud of my well-rounded experience which I've gained from various work environments such as police k-9 training kennels, veterinary hospitals, pet stores, mobile grooming businesses, corporate and private grooming salons, boarding facilities and working dog clubs. My goal is to continue to only get better at the art of dog grooming. I enjoy challenging myself and pushing for excellence. I do this all for my own satisfaction so that I can continue to grow in the trade I have come to love so deeply.

I am also certified in pet first aid.

In my personal life, I own 4 dogs and a bird, raise 2 home-schooled children and answer to 3 cats. Like most other mountain moms, I'm learning the fine art of balancing family life and my beloved career while maintaining a level of sanity to make for a respectable adult though I dislike the idea of fully growing up. I love our mountain community and breathtaking natural beauty of Evergreen, Colorado which has been my home since 2008.  If you recognize me on the trails, do say hello! I'll be pleased to meet you.
